Job Description:

Technical
- 1-3year of experience in Photoshop and Coreldraw
- Visual design experience
- Prototyping skills
- basic knowledge of HTML/CSS
- good to have knowledge in flash Animation
- good to have experience in designing mobile UI.


Responsibilities
- Creating and editing Web site templates.
- Collaborate with User Experience team to design elegant user interfaces and rich user experiences
- Present concepts and designs to senior management

Non Technical:
- Creative
- good Artist
- Out-of-Box thinking
- Excellent written, oral, and visual communication skills
- Strong presentation skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Ability to communicate design concepts effectively, build consensus, and justify decisions

Job Description – Web Designer/Developer

Position may cover part or all of these responsibilities:



1. Primary responsibility - Must have strong conceptual skills, including design, layout, graphic & photo editing



2. At least 2 years experience with each of these:

XHTML
CSS
JavaScript
JQuery
Flash
Photoshop
Illustrator


3. The ability to slice & integrate Photoshop files into different content management systems such as WordPress and Joomla.



2. Populate websites

Populate Copy as per prepared word documents
Source stock photos
Maintain and manage creative files and database of creative for future reference and sharing
Lay out pages appropriately – pleasing to the eye, easy to skim, focused on conversions, eg http://www.canskyroofing.com/roof-replacement.html
Create Forms, thank you pages, auto-responders
Integrate and populate any applicable modules: Picture Galleries, Shopping Carts, FAQ etc.


3. Social Media

Have an understanding of new and emerging trends such as social media, mobile applications, etc.
Set up and style WordPress blogs, incorporate into sites
Create Facebook Fan Pages
Style Twitter account pages


4. Quality Control & Site Launch

Site looks and functions well in all browsers
Links all work
Forms all work – auto-responders, thank you pages
Set up and test all email accounts for client
Put new site in our online portfolio


5. Site Management

Create client email marketing newsletter campaigns
Basic HTML and Photoshop update to sites


6. Additional information:

Approximately 1-2 new website designs completed each week, plus maintenance requests on dozens of existing client’s sites
Research any new applicable tools
As needed, take on additional projects that support the team
Use online forums and manuals from CMS supplier and public resources to proactively problem solve
Willingness to be flexible to add these new duties
Enter and monitor external & internal support tickets
Log all time in & utilize Project Management System (Basecamp)
